Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ricardinho Rodriguez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Lambert (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Ren Mimura and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodriguez moves into range and clinches up with Lambert.
Rodriguez decides to pull guard.
Lambert would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Rodriguez pushes Lambert off and scrambles back to his feet.
Rodriguez shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Lambert as he avoids it easily.
Lambert slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Lambert lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Lambert swats away the attempt to clinch by Rodriguez.
Lambert lands with a shot to the body.
Lambert throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Rodriguez scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Rodriguez is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Lambert will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Lambert really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rodriguez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Rodriguez advances nicely into full mount.
Rodriguez stands up from mount. Strange move.
Rodriguez tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lambert swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Rodriguez instigates a clinch.
Rodriguez jumps into guard, dragging Lambert to the mat.
Rodriguez manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Rodriguez shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Lambert as he avoids it easily.
Rodriguez walks into a straight right hand from Lambert.
Rodriguez tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Rodriguez shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lambert as he jumps to the side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ricardinho Rodriguez. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rodriguez misses with a left hand
and Lambert counters with a one-two to the body.
Rodriguez looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lambert is fending him off so far but Rodriguez persists. Nope, Lambert circles away and we're back to standing.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lambert cracks Rodriguez with a right hand to the side of the head.
A lazy left from Lambert finds it's target.
Lambert thuds a left hand into Rodriguez's body.
Rodriguez misses with a jab to the body
and Lambert counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Rodriguez thinking.
Rodriguez is breathing heavily.
Rodriguez shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Rodriguez was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rodriguez has hold of Lambert's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Lambert manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Rodriguez looking to secure an arm triangle but Lambert defends it well.
Lambert is in a horrible position here. Rodriguez smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Rodriguez looking to control and managing it successfully.
Lambert is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Rodriguez working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Lambert looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Rodriguez! Submission of the night perhaps?
