Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, John Narvith Barcarse! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Joe Louis! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Louis tries to keep at a distance but Barcarse has taken the fight into the clinch. A short right hand to the side of the head by Barcarse.
It looks like Joe Louis has been cut. Louis is pressed up against the cage. Barcarse has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Louis down to the mat. Louis avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Barcarse gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Louis wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Louis prevents the takedown attempt.

Barcarse has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Louis is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Louis throws a series of punches but Barcarse moves out of range. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Barcarse clinches. Barcarse has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Louis clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Barcarse lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Barcarse.
Barcarse misses with a punch to the head. Louis is trying to get back to his feet. He's worked up on to his knees and now he's on his feet with his head on the canvas, trying to shake Barcarse off. It looks like it's working - Barcarse slides off, much to his dismay, and we're back to standing! Louis displaying calm under pressure there. Barcarse shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Louis's guard. Barcarse scores with a decent looking elbow strike. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Barcarse distracts Louis with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Barcarse is in close to Louis's body, working some short punches and elbows.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Louis pushes Barcarse off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Barcarse takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Barcarse shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Barcarse scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Barcarse lands a couple of elbows. Barcarse stops Louis from standing up. Louis wriggles free and stands up. Louis throws a right and a left that Barcarse avoids nicely. Barcarse shoots in looking for a takedown. Louis tries to sprawl out of it but Barcarse keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Louis manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Louis shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Barcarse eats them both and turns towards Louis to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Barcarse misses with a series of wild punches.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Louis lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Louis closes the distance and lands a one-two. Barcarse changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Louis tries to avoid it but Barcarse manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Louis to the ground. Louis escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Barcarse motions for Louis to come forward. Barcarse throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Louis works the jab nicely. Barcarse pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Barcarse takes a shot right to the bread basket. Louis dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Louis looks to land a combination but Barcarse avoids it well. Barcarse shoots in but no luck this time. Louis throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Barcarse thows a big elbow that misses. Louis pushes Barcarse off and scrambles back to his feet.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Louis rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Barcarse moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Barcarse tries to score a power double leg takedown but Louis sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Barcarse somewhat. Barcarse forces Louis back against the cage and clinches. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Right on cue, Barcarse cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Barcarse knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Louis on the ground. Louis wants to get back to his feet. Barcarse throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Louis regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Barcarse. Louis kicks Barcarse off and gets to his feet. Barcarse looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Barcarse throws a leg kick but Louis sees it coming and checks it nicely. John Narvith Barcarse is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Louis throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
