The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Larkin rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Larkin takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Larkin feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Russo's calf. Ryan Larkin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Larkin misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Russo.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Russo throwing strikes from guard but Larkin blocks nicely. Larkin tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Russo paws at him with a jab and circles away. Larkin swings for the body but Russo moves out of range.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Larkin thows a leg kick but Russo checks it and Russo counters with a nice body shot. A bone on bone clash there as Larkin blocks the leg kick.

enabling Russo to counter with a crisp jab. Larkin throws a front kick aimed at Russo's knee but Russo avoids it well. Russo takes a shot to the body in his stride.
