The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tarver with a poor takedown
and Smiley counters with a nice body shot.

and Smiley counters with a nice body shot.
Tarver has his takedown stuffed
enabling Smiley to counter with a crisp jab.
Norman Smiley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tye Tarver.
Smiley comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

and Tarver takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Smiley looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Tarver shoots and misses
and Smiley counters with a three punch combo that has Tarver backing up. Tarver nods at Smiley to acknowledge the strikes.

and Smiley counters with a nice uppercut.
Smiley drops Tarver with a left and a right! Oh, Tarver is hurt - Smiley dives into side control looking to finish!
Tarver is looking to reverse the position.
Smiley landing strikes.
Tarver is rocked!
Smiley scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Tarver is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Smiley can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
