Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dirk Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clark Kent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dirk Hunter has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dirk Hunter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Clark Kent! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Damien Edna and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hunter wants to clinch. Hunter tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Kent manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Kent throws a series of punches but Hunter avoids them all with ease. Hunter looks to clinch and Kent counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Hunter's guard now. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kent accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Hunter keeping full guard, as Kent tries to pass. Kent is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Kent keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Hunter's head. Kent postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Kent thows a big elbow that misses. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kent throwing strikes but missing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kent throws a big right hand that misses. Kent wants to control from the top but Hunter keeps moving. Kent throwing strikes but missing. Hunter is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Kent is stalling in the full guard. Kent stands up and waves to Hunter to follow him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Kent ducks under a wild hook from Hunter. Hunter tries to sprawl but Kent drives through with a takedown into half guard. Kent is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Hunter is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Clark Kent!
