PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hunter Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Fisher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fisher has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fisher misses with a shot to the body

and Thompson counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Thompson prevents Fisher from standing back up.

Thompson is working for a kimura but Fisher is defending it quite comfortably.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Thompson is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Fisher looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Thompson looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Thompson prevents Fisher from improving his position.
Fisher looks gassed!

That's one minute gone in the round.

Thompson wants to work for an arm triangle but Fisher is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Thompson passes to side control.
Thompson works to advance to full mount. Fisher defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Fisher reaches up to try and control the position but Thompson seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Fisher rolls and tries to escape and now Thompson has his back!

Fisher has hold of Thompson's leg, trying to break free but it's let Thompson lock up a rear naked choke! This could be big trouble! Fisher is turning an unusual color here… he's out! Thompson throws him to one side and jumps onto the cage to celebrate with his fans.
