Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dan Jordon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Douglas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Douglas has chosen Rocky's Theme as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dan Jordon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Brian Douglas!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Aafke Stam and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Douglas can do anything to dispel that myth.

Jordon is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Douglas sees it coming and defends easily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Jordon counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Brian Douglas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Douglas creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Jordon's defenses.

Douglas has Jordon pressed against the ropes, preventing Jordon from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Jordon is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Douglas pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Jordon wants to break the clinch but can't.
Douglas misses with a knee to the head.

Douglas escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

and Jordon counters with a single leg into guard. Douglas didn't expect that.

Jordon drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jordon jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Jordon postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Douglas is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Jordon, into his guard.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Douglas content to stall in guard here.

Jordon looking for a guillotine here but Douglas defends easily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Jordon pushes a forearm under Douglas's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Douglas is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
