Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Matt Sams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jake Dredd!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Steve Smith and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sams steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Dredd.
Sams is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Sams misses with a shot to the body
and Dredd counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Dredd missing with a left hand there. Sams was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Sams scores with a jab to the body.
A big right from Dredd misses.

Dredd misses with an uppercut
enabling Sams to counter with a crisp jab.
Dredd feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Sams keeping moving, preventing Dredd from controlling successfully.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Dredd accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Dredd postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Dredd is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sams is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jake Dredd was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Sams throws a series of punches but Dredd avoids them all with ease.
Sams digs a good body shot into Dredd's ribs.
Sams uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Dredd.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Sams slips under a jab from Dredd.
Sams works Dredd's body with a nice hook.
Dredd ducks under a wild hook from Sams.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
No joy there for Sams, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Jake Dredd will probably get the nod.

Dredd is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Sams rolls with it to try and escape but Dredd cranks on the arm and Sams is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
