Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Cook (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tj Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cook comes into the arena with Cormega - built for this blaring out of the sound system. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chris Cook! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tj Thomas! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, William Peck and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thomas ducks under a wild hook from Cook. Thomas throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Cook counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Cook displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Thomas throws out the jab. Cook's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Cook duly obliges. Thomas misses with an uppercut
and Cook counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Cook misses with a hook. Thomas ducked under it nicely. Thomas takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Thomas on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Thomas rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Cook moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Cook drives through and clinches with Thomas against the cage.
Thomas's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Cook lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
It looks like Tj Thomas has been cut. Thomas on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Cook creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Thomas's defenses. Cook lands a knee to the body.
Thomas looks gassed! Cook lands a left hand.
Thomas managing to block the knees to the body from Cook.
Cook tries to land knees in the clinch but Thomas avoids the damage to the body. Thomas tries to circle away but Cook has him pinned against the cage. Cook lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Thomas takes an elbow to the forehead.
Thomas is rocked! Cook lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Thomas is still on wobbly legs! Can Cook finish him? Cook lands with a short head shot on the inside. A right handed body shot lands from Cook.
Cook putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Thomas in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Cook lands a big right hand that drops Thomas! The killer instinct kicks in and Cook finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Cook!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chris Cook!
