The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Viera rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Macomb moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Macomb ducks under a wild hook from Viera.
Macomb looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Macomb shoots in but no luck this time.
Viera connects with a body shot.
Macomb closes this distance looking for a takedown but Viera circles away.

Oh Macomb is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Macomb shoots in for a double leg but Viera sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Wilson Viera is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Macomb shoots in looking for a takedown. Viera tries to sprawl out of it but Macomb keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Viera manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Macomb shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Macomb changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Viera tries to avoid it but Macomb manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Viera to the ground. Viera escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Macomb throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Viera's waist but Viera gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Macomb off to one side.

Macomb scores a takedown into full mount!
Viera is controlling an arm, preventing Macomb from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Viera is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Macomb has control of Viera's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Viera regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Macomb goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Viera is on top in guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Viera is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Viera throws a series of punches but Macomb moves out of range.
Viera connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Macomb tumbling to the canvas! Viera pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Macomb was done - good stoppage!
