Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mike Hammil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mr Anderson Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Hammil might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to This Fire Burns. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mike Hammil! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mr Anderson Silva! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Winston Howard and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hammil. Silva throws a head kick that misses and Hammil counters by moving into the clinch. Silva tries for a takedown. No joy.
Silva tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Hammil smiles and moves away.
A lazy body kick from Silva and Hammil counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Silva fails to pull guard.
Mike Hammil has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mr Anderson Silva. Hammil tries to break free but Silva pushes him back against the cage. Hammil lands a knee to the head.
It looks like Mr Anderson Silva has been cut. Hammil is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Maybe Hammil would be better served going for some more strikes rather than trying to control so much. Hammil wants to break the clinch but can't.

A frustrated look appears on Hammil's face as he tries to break the clinch. Hammil gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Silva.
Hammil digs a right hand into Silva's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Silva's gas tank. Silva can't get the takedown.

That's one minute gone in the round. Hammil has had enough of the clinch but Silva keeps him there for the moment. Silva wants to get back to striking at distance but Hammil won't allow it.

Hammil fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Hammil fails in his attempt to clinch. Hammil tries to close the distance and clinch but Silva swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Hammil throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Silva's head. Hammil scores with a decent looking hook. Hammil goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Mr Anderson Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hammil misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hammil cracks Silva with a good jab. The fight stays on the outside here - Hammil looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Hammil fails with an attempt to clinch.

Hammil connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Silva throws a series of punches but Hammil moves out of range. Silva walks into a left hand.

Silva looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Hammil scores with a head kick. Silva tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Hammil tries to close the distance and clinch but Silva swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Silva fails to land the takedown. Hammil is looking to clinch but Silva is avoiding it.
Hammil ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Hammil tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Silva paws at him with a jab and circles away. Hammil is looking to clinch. Hammil throws a nice outside leg kick. Hammil throws a one two combo.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Silva slips a jab and a cross from Hammil.
Hammil closes the distance but Silva moves to the side and Silva counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Silva. Hammil keeping moving, preventing Silva from controlling successfully. Hammil is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Silva is controlling him. Silva controls from within his opponent's guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mike Hammil dominated that round. The cut man is working on Mr Anderson Silva's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Silva tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hammil swivels and escapes. Hammil gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Silva controlling from the top position. Silva in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Silva decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Hammil thows a body kick. Silva tries to catch it but that hurt him. Hammil tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hammil lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Hammil has Silva pressed against the cage, preventing Silva from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Silva is pushing Hammil up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Silva fails to pull guard.
Silva pushes off an throws an elbow but Hammil leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Silva tries for a takedown. No joy.

Hammil pushes Silva away with a front kick. Hammil lands with a shot to the body. Hammil connects with a leg kick. Silva looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Hammil scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Silva shoots in for a takedown but Hammil shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Some wild striking there from Hammil.
Nice uppercut lands for Hammil. That snapped Silva's head back.
Silva darts in and clinches Hammil up against the cage. Hammil is pressed up against the cage. Silva has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Hammil down to the mat. Hammil avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Silva has closed the distance and engaged Hammil in a clinch.
Hammil wants to get back to striking at distance but Silva won't allow it.
Hammil is trying to force a seperation but Silva has the dominant position. Silva drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Hammil lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Silva manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Silva scrambles and gets back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hammil tries to clinch but Silva is having none of it. Hammil blocks a head kick by Silva.
Hammil lands a two punch combo.
Silva throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Hammil moves into the clinch. Silva using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Hammil has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Silva drops down looking for an ankle pick but Hammil pulls his leg out and moves away.
Silva shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hammil but Hammil pushes him off and we're back to square one. Hammil tries to clinch up but Silva circles away and keeps his distance. Silva looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Hammil!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Silva cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Mr Anderson Silva showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Mr Anderson Silva's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
A lazy left from Silva finds it's target. Silva fails with the takedown. Silva has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Hammil. Silva misses with a few strikes there.
Hammil throws a sloppy head kick and Silva moves out of range easily. Hammil scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Silva moves in looking to clinch but Hammil pushes him off. Hammil stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hammil wants it to stay on the feet. Mike Hammil is winning the standup battle so far. Hammil scoring well with a low kick there.
Hammil tries to clinch but Silva is having none of it. Hammil gets a clinch. Hammil lands an elbow inside. Hammil creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Silva's defenses. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Hammil is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Hammil wants to get back to striking at distance but Silva won't allow it.

Hammil looks to clinch and Silva counters with a takedown into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Silva controls the position. Hammil tries to contro but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad. Hammil is trying to escape the mount.
Hammil takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Silva landing strikes from the mount and Hammil is in trouble! Silva punishing his opponent with strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Silva sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Hammil tries to reverse the position but Silva maintains control. That's three minutes gone in the round. Hammil is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Silva with a couple of short strikes. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Silva is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Hammil has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Hammil! Mr Anderson Silva has got the better of the ground game so far. Silva is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Hammil rolls with it to try and escape but Silva cranks on the arm and Hammil is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
