Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Juan Kerr!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Emerson Jorge and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kerr looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Kerr looking to pass the guard.
Slaine looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Slaine is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Slaine can't keep his opponent in guard - Kerr advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Slaine tries to get to full guard but Kerr has control of the leg.
Slaine wants to control but Kerr is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Slaine on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Slaine tries to get out of the position.
Kerr uses his free foot to push down on Slaine's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Slaine.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Slaine is in all sorts of trouble here.
Kerr postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Slaine looks a forlorn figure.
Slaine is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Kerr content just to control the position here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kerr prevents Slaine from getting the reversal.
Slaine tries to improve his position but instead Kerr has taken his back!

Kerr doesn't have the hooks in and Slaine manages to turn into his guard.
Slaine wants to get up but he can't break Kerr's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Slaine won't allow Kerr to sweep him here.
Kerr wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Slaine loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Kerr trying to keep a closed guard but Slaine is proving a slippery customer.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Slaine accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Kerr gets to mount! Slaine was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Slaine is looking to get to half guard.
Kerr is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Kerr content just to control the position here.
The referee warns Slaine that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Slaine tries to improve his position but instead Kerr has taken his back!
Slaine wants to get back to his feet.
Kerr is looking to finish with some ground and pound!
Kerr lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Kerr is punishing Slaine with strikes - can he finish him?!
Kerr is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Slaine up.

Kerr is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Kerr is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Slaine. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Kerr controlling the positon.
Slaine has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.
Kerr is riding his opponent, not letting Slaine buck him off.
Kerr scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Slaine is looking for a way out.
Kerr controls the action.

Kerr is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Slaine with him. Slaine is trying to defend but Kerr has an arm under the chin now! Slaine grimaces and is forced to tap out!
