Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Coleman Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Senor Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Coleman Miller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Senor Jones!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Skip Squint and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jones gets tackled into the cage by Miller. Miller maintains the clinch.
Come on Miller - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Miller gets a warning from the ref for wasting time.

Miller pulls guard successfully.
Miller avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Jones throws a strike but Miller rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Miller is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jones can do anything to dispel that myth.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Miller throws a big right hand that misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Miller controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Miller thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Jones preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Jones keeping moving, preventing Miller from controlling successfully.
Miller has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Jones wants to sweep but no luck.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Coleman Miller just wasn't active enough.
Jones throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Miller.
Miller avoids the head kick by Jones.
Jones circles away from the clinch attempt.
Jones misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Miller.
Jones pulls out of a head kick attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
A combination from Jones does no damage.
Jones takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Jones misses with a few strikes there.

Miller gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Miller gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Miller perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Miller prevents Jones from standing back up.
Miller sitting and controlling from the half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Jones is defending against the submission attempts here by Miller.
Miller takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Jones tries to get to full guard but Miller has control of the leg.
Jones throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Miller trying to control the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Coleman Miller wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Miller scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Miller wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jones keeps working.
Miller is breathing heavily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Miller controlling the position from side mount.
Jones tries to improve position but can't.
Jones wants to control but Miller postures up.

Miller is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Jones has escaped the position, nice work there.
Jones sneaks back into half guard.
Jones really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Miller. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Jones is trying to stand.

Miller is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jones is just riding it out for now. Miller eventually gives up the hold.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Coleman Miller dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Jones throws a leg kick but Miller sees it coming and checks it nicely.
No joy there for Jones, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Jones with a nice cross.
Miller throws a body punch but Jones moves out of range.
Jones looks to land a combination but Miller avoids it well.
Jones lands with a nice body punch.
Miller keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Jones throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Miller doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Jones darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Jones is looking to take a break and control but Miller is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Miller keeping hold of Jones's head, controlling as best he can.

Jones is working for a submission of some sort.
Miller keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Jones wants to take a breather but Miller is having none of it.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Jones throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Jones is keen to just control but Miller is a slippery customer.
Jones not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Jones wants to control but Miller is keeping him busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jones working the head and body with strikes.
Jones not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Nice strikes from Jones there.
Jones takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Jones is looking to advance position but Miller won't allow it.
Jones winds up and cracks Miller with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Jones looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Jones landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Miller taking some punishment here, with Jones in his half guard.
Jones is nestled in close to Miller, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Miller is staying active underneath Jones, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Jones might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Miller kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Miller is looking to control Jones's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Miller avoid being mounted?

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Nice strikes from Jones there.
Jones tries to pass the half guard into mount. Miller knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Miller on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Miller is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Jones's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Jones's back!
Jones can't escape the position.

Miller working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.
Jones tries to break free.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Senor Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


Jones tried to score with a low kick but Miller checks it.
Coleman Miller is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Nice sprawl there from Jones as Miller shoots in.
Jones swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Jones swats away the attempt to clinch by Miller.
Miller tries to clinch there but Jones circles away.
Jones scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Miller is rocked!

Jones closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Miller's guard.
Oh Miller is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Miller preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Jones chips away with some ground and pound.
Jones throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Miller seems to have got his legs back now.
Miller wants to sweep here but Jones controlling him for the moment.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Jones wants to pass the guard but Miller is keeping the position.

Miller tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Jones throwing strikes but missing.
Jones pushes down on Miller's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Miller keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Miller is looking to improve his position.
Miller trying to control from the bottom.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Jones seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Miller does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Miller avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Jones.
Jones content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Jones wants to pass to mount but Miller is defending the position.
Jones not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Jones is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Miller tries to hold on but Jones postures up.
A nice elbow there by Jones.
Jones fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Jones looking to control but Miller is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Jones controlling the pace for now.

Miller is desperately trying to improve his position but Jones has a good base and remains in mount.
Miller is squirming around, avoiding Jones's attempts to control the action.
Jones raining down shots from the mount!

Senor Jones comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Jones has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
