Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Willison Mitchell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Ried (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Willison Mitchell ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jason Ried! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Jonathan Paton and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ried swinging wildly here.
Ried closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Mitchell quickly recovers to half guard. Ried content to control rather than advance. Mitchell tries to kick Ried off but Ried keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Ried keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Mitchell moves into full guard.
Mitchell can't keep his opponent in guard - Ried advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Ried tries to stand and escape but Mitchell is controlling the position. Mitchell wants to control but Ried is keeping busy.
Ried slows the pace down in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ried is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Mitchell moves into full guard.
Mitchell is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Ried postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Mitchell is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Ried, into his guard. Mitchell postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Ried pulls Mitchell in close to his closed guard and prevents Mitchell from doing any damage or advancing position. Mitchell trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Mitchell wants to control from the top but Ried keeps moving. Ried tries to land a sweep but no joy. Mitchell postures up in Ried's guard and throws a big left but Ried blocks it. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Mitchell postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Mitchell sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Ried's guard. Ried really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mitchell . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Mitchell not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mitchell prevents Ried from improving his position. Mitchell working the head and body with strikes. Mitchell throwing shots but Ried is blocking nicely. Ried avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Mitchell . Mitchell not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Ried has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Mitchell is working away from the top position though. Mitchell throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Mitchell is taking a breather. Ried says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Mitchell wants to control but Ried is keeping him busy. Mitchell has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Ried is trying to control but Mitchell passes into side control!
Ried tries to contro but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad. Ried holds on for dear life. You get the feeling that Ried really doesn't like being in this position too much.
The referee warns Ried that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mitchell pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Ried tries to lock up and control but Mitchell gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Ried looks gassed! Mitchell is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Ried can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Willison Mitchell dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Ried has managed to clinch.
Mitchell stalling in the clinch but Ried improves position. Mitchell seems a little flustered. He's come in with the intention of controlling the clinch but Ried is preventing him from doing so, at least for the moment. Ried dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Mitchell is trying to break the clinch but Ried has him pressed against the cage. Ried escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Mitchell closes the distance and lands a one-two. Mitchell misses with a takedown attempt and Ried moves into the clinch. Ried gets control of Mitchell 's arms and successfully pulls guard. Ried will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Ried wants to sweep here but Mitchell controlling him for the moment. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Mitchell keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Ried's head. Mitchell postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mitchell throwing strikes from guard but Ried blocks nicely. Ried is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Mitchell defends well. Ried is trying to keep Mitchell in close.
Ried tries to land a sweep but no joy. Mitchell trying to control but Ried is working from the bottom. Ried pulls Mitchell in close to prevent any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Mitchell postures up.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Ried wants to stand and escape but Mitchell is having none of it.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Jason Ried. Ried gets the takedown into side control. You can see the frustration on Mitchell 's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Mitchell manages to work his way to half guard, despite Ried's best efforts. Ried is trying to control the action in half guard but Mitchell is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Still in half guard, Ried seems content to control. Mitchell missing with punches from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mitchell actively working from the bottom here. Mitchell moves into full guard.
Mitchell has a closed guard, preventing Ried from standing up. Mitchell manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Ried manages to get himself to full guard.
Mitchell thows a big elbow that misses. Mitchell won't allow Ried to sweep him here.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ried can do anything to dispel that myth. Mitchell drops an elbow to the side of Ried's head. Ried has hold of Mitchell 's hands but Mitchell slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Mitchell wants to stand but Ried has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Ried wants to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Willison Mitchell will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Ried will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Ried looking for a takedown here - he's got it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mitchell trying to control the position.
Ried has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Mitchell is proving hard to escape from. Ried must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Mitchell keeping moving, preventing Ried from controlling successfully. Ried trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Mitchell had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Ried defends it easily. Mitchell is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Ried wants to control from the top but Mitchell keeps moving.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Mitchell has his takedown stuffed and Ried counters with a single leg into guard. Mitchell didn't expect that. Ried content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Ried is looking to stand up but Mitchell won't let him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ried looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Mitchell lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Ried! Ried tries to reverse the position but Mitchell maintains control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ried wants to hold on but Mitchell pushes him away. Ried can't escape the position.
Mitchell lands a nice shot to the head. Ried tries to hold on but Mitchell postures up. Ried tries to improve his position but Mitchell has taken his back! Mitchell has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Ried tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Mitchell pushes Ried away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
