Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Gordie Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and King Marvin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Marvin's choice of entrance music: King of Kings by Motorhead. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gordie Green! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, King Marvin! The judges for this bout are James Glass, James Atkins and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marvin feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Greens jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Green swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Green moves into range and clinches up with Marvin. Marvin swings away with an uppercut that misses.
A left hand lands to the body for Marvin.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Marvin. Green blocks a body shot from Marvin. Green prevents a body shot from Marvin. Green is trying to drag Marvin to the mat but Marvin just about manages to keep his footing. He used the ropes to his advantage there. Marvin fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
A frustrated look appears on Green's face as he tries to break the clinch. Marvin misses with a body punch.
Marvin presses Green against the ropes and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Green wants to get back to striking at distance but Marvin won't allow it.

Green blocks a body shot from Marvin. Marvin turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Marvin manages to end up in side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Green tries to bench press Marvin off him but Marvin keeps the position. Marvin thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Green is not content to let Marvin control the position. Green parries the strikes from Marvin easily there. Marvin is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Green to escape.
Green is looking to regain half guard here but Marvin keeps moving and retains side control. Green is trying to get back to his feet. Green is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Green taking punishment in the form of punches.

Green has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Marvin is working away from the top position though. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Marvin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Green keeps working. Marvin works his way into side control. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Green is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Green struggling a bit here. Marvin has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Marvin wants to take a breather but Green is having none of it. This has been an exciting period of action! Marvin winds up and cracks Green with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Green on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Green kicks Marvin off and gets back to his feet.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Green lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Marvin circles away quickly and effectively. Green ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Marvin moves away. Green throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Marvin ducks down and throws a hook to the body. That's six minutes gone in the round. Still in the clinch, Marvin scores with a nice short uppercut. Nice body punch from Marvin. Marvin throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Greens head. Marvin tries for a takedown. No joy.
Gordie Green has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of King Marvin. Green blocks a body shot from Marvin. Marvin prevents Green from breaking the clinch. Marvin scores with a nice hook to the head. Marvin drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
This has been an exciting period of action! Green is pushing Marvin up against the ropes, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Marvin has Green pressed against the ropes.

Horrible takedown by Marvin or perhaps it was just good defense by Green which made him look bad. Good exchange - Green coming out on top.
That's nine minutes gone in the round. Green throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Marvin sees it coming and avoids it easily. Marvin ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Green moves away. Green shoots in but Marvin avoids the takedown attempt easily. Marvin wants to clinch. Green throws out a powerful jab. The fight moves into the clinch position. Green is trying to force a seperation but Marvin has the dominant position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Green's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Marvin looks to land a right hand but Green moved out of range. Marvin slips a jab from Green. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Marvin stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Green has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Marvin manages to get his head free but now Green has transitioned to an armbar! Marvin grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Green! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
