Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Julio Servanez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucas Matos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Servanez comes to the cage accompanied by No LoVe. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Julio Servanez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lucas Matos! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Thiago Cunha and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Servanez closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Matos to the mat! Matos manages to get full guard. Servanez got a little sloppy there for a moment and Matos has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Servanez has managed to get both his arms back between Matos's legs - danger averted. Servanez wanted to stand there but Matos had control of the position. Servanez wants to control from the top but Matos keeps moving. Servanez throws and elbow that misses. Matos uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Servanez's guard. Nice move by Matos! Servanez wants to sweep here but Matos controlling him for the moment. Matos thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Servanez is trying to keep Matos in close.
Matos won't allow Servanez to sweep him here. Matos drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Matos jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Matos preventing the sweep. Matos postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Servanez is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Matos, into his guard. Matos looks gassed! Servanez trying to control but Matos is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Servanez got a little sloppy there for a moment and Matos has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Servanez has managed to get both his arms back between Matos's legs - danger averted. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Matos working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Servanez has passed into half guard!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Servanez wants to pass to mount but Matos is defending the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Servanez is trying to control the action in half guard but Matos is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Servanez is really struggling to control Matos but he's trying to hold on to the position. Matos kicks off Servanez and gets to his feet. Servanez wants to clinch and Matos counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Servanez not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Matos drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Servanez dives on top into guard. Servanez avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Matos keeping moving, preventing Servanez from controlling successfully. Servanez stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Matos swivels though and keeps the full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lucas Matos dominated that round. That's time! Servanez's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Servanez tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Matos counters with a takedown into side control. Servanez manages to get back to half guard. Servanez is trying to maintain the position but Matos is very close to passing his half guard. Servanez is trying to control but Matos manages to pass to mount!

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Servanez defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Matos.
That's one minute gone in the round. Servanez is desperately trying to improve his position but Matos has a good base and remains in mount. Matos jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Servanez is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Servanez and Matos has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Matos is working to tighten is grip on Servanez's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Servanez has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Matos is really squeezing tight and eventually Servanez passes out! Matos breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Lucas Matos!
