England has chosen let the bodies hit the floor as his entrance music. Leon England has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Raymond Saulnier!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Leon England!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Daniel Bishop and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saulnier digs a good hook to England's body.
England throws a right hand that Saulnier ducks under and follows up with a left that Saulnier also avoids with ease.
Saulnier tries to close the distance and clinch but England swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Saulnier showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from England.
No joy there for England, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A punch combination from Saulnier misses.
England wants to clinch.
England throws a series of punches but Saulnier avoids them all with ease.

Saulnier changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. England looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Saulnier tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Saulnier has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Saulnier tries for a kimura but England is defending well.
Saulnier really is a fat lump.
England is pushing Saulnier's head away, looking to escape. Saulnier manages to hold on to the position though.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

England sneaks back into half guard.
England looks gassed!

Saulnier seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Saulnier is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so England is just riding it out for now. Saulnier eventually gives up the hold.

Saulnier seems to be looking for submissions.
England regains full guard. Nicely done.
Saulnier postures up in England's guard and throws a big left but England blocks it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Saulnier stopping the sweep attempt from England.

England pushes Saulnier off and scrambles back to his feet.
England throws a combination. Saulnier tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
England throws a series of punches but Saulnier moves out of range.

England gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Saulnier might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

England looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Saulnier passes England's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
England is trying to get back to full guard.
England looks like he's trying to stand up.

England manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Saulnier drops England with a nice combination! Saulnier dives into England's guard, looking to finish!


England is rocked!


It looks like Leon England has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Saulnier stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. England swivels though and keeps the full guard.
England is still in real trouble! Can Saulnier finish him?

Saulnier is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
England seems to have recovered his senses.
Saulnier is in close to England's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Saulnier thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
England wants to sweep here but Saulnier controlling him for the moment.
Saulnier tries to free his leg and advance position but England is retaining full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
England wants to get back to his feet but Saulnier is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Saulnier closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Saulnier passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for England!
England is working to get back to half guard.
Saulnier forces the positional change into back control.
England manages to reverse the position and now he's in Saulnier's guard. Nice work there by England.
England is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

England stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Saulnier circles away from the clinch attempt

and Saulnier counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for England!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
England tries to reverse the position but Saulnier maintains control.

Saulnier is working for a guillotine from mount but England frees his head quite easily.
Saulnier landing punches.

England gets back to half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Saulnier connects with a nice short shot to England's temple.

Saulnier is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! England is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
