Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hevon Perse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Hogan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Scott Hogan!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Winston Howard and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perse looks to clinch
and Hogan counters with a nice double leg into side control. Perse won't be happy with that.
Perse is looking to regain half guard here but Hogan keeps moving and retains side control.
Hogan tries to advance to mount but can't.

Perse tries to bench press Hogan off him but Hogan keeps the position.
Perse looks to move to half guard but instead Hogan has passed into mount! Damn!

Perse can't escape the position.
Hogan takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Perse tries to reverse the position but Hogan maintains control.
Hogan tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Perse is trying to escape the mount.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Hogan mounts Perse! Really nice guard pass there!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Perse can't escape the position.
Hogan has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Perse's face.

It looks like Hevon Perse has been cut.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Perse tries to improve his position but instead Hogan has taken his back!
Perse covers up after that shot from Hogan.
Hogan has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Perse.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hogan controls the position.
Perse tries to escape but Hogan has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Hogan has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Hogan has got one arm under Perse's chin. This could be trouble... Perse trying to control the other hand but Hogan gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Perse has tapped out! The fight is over!
