ONeill has chosen Ninja Turtles as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boets doesn't succeed with the takedown

and ONeill counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Boets's guard now.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Boets is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst ONeill is controlling him.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Boets tries to control ONeill's body but ONeill pushes him off. Boets squirms to his side and now ONeill has his back!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

ONeill connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Boets to escape the position.

ONeill is trying to stick to Boets's back but Boets is turning into ONeill. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in ONeill's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Boets.

ONeill pushes a forearm under Boets's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Boets is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
