Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mac Steller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Cossack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mac Steller has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mac Steller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Dave Cossack!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Donald Grub and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Steller is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Cossack's half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Steller connects with a nice short shot to Cossack's temple.
Steller is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Steller is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Cossack wants to improve his position but Steller is controlling well.
Steller lands strikes from half guard.
Steller thows a huge punch but Cossack dodges it nicely.
Steller looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Steller thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Cossack's head.
Steller looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Cossack trying to hold on to Steller's head to control him but Steller postures up.
Cossack tries to kick Steller off but Steller keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Steller scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

Steller winds up and cracks Cossack with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Cossack avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Steller.
Steller working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Steller lands strikes from half guard.
Cossack really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Steller. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Steller is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Steller is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Cossack doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Steller.

Steller lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Steller looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Cossack is defending against the submission attempts here by Steller.
Steller drops an elbow to the side of Cossack's head.

Cossack looks gassed!
Cossack wants to get back to his feet.
Steller is trying to control. Cossack wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Steller seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Cossack is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Steller scores with a couple of nice shots.
Steller landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Steller drops an elbow to the side of Cossack's head.
Steller looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Cossack with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Steller content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Steller working over Cossack with some ground and pound. Cossack looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Steller looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mac Steller dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


Steller fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Steller.
Cossack is trying to get back to half guard.
Steller lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Cossack wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.
Steller cracks Cossack with a big right hand but Cossack just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Steller lands a decent elbow from side control.
Steller trying to control the action but Cossack is working from the bottom.
Cossack tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Steller wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Steller is working to tighten is grip on Cossack's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Cossack has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Steller is really squeezing tight and eventually Cossack passes out! Steller breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:21 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Mac Steller!
