Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Marge Power (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Adrian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Marge Power!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Andrew Adrian!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Power tries to bum rush Adrian with a series of wild strikes but Adrian uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Nice uppercut lands for Power. That snapped Adrian's head back.
Adrian ducks under a wild hook from Power.
Power throws a jab but it's blocked by Adrian.
Power avoids the head kick by Adrian.
Power throws a series of punches but Adrian avoids them all with ease.
Power looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Power pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
A head kick by Power misses

and Adrian counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Power!

Adrian looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Adrian trying to control but Power is having none of it.

Adrian moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Power has worked his arm free - good work by Power!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Power is looking to regain half guard here but Adrian keeps moving and retains side control.
Adrian controls the position from side control.
Let's hope that Adrian has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Power parries the strikes from Adrian easily there. Adrian is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Power to escape.
Power keeping his opponent close.
Adrian throwing shots but missing, from side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Adrian looking to control but instead Power has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.
Adrian is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Power tries to get back to half guard but can't.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Poor strikes thrown by Adrian there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Power is trying to escape the mount.
Adrian sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Adrian looking to control but Power is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Andrew Adrian dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Power waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Adrian.
Power misses the jab.
Marge Power is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Power misses with a two punch combination.
Power throws a body punch but Adrian moves out of range.
Adrian lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Adrian is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Nice sprawl there from Power as Adrian shoots in.
Power connects with a good right hand that stumbles Adrian. Adrian circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Marge Power seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Power throws an overhand right that lands on Adrian's shoulder, as Adrian tries to avoid the shot.
Power throws a sloppy body shot

and Adrian moves into the clinch.
Power is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Adrian breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Adrian tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Nice takedown defense from Power. No joy for Adrian on that attempt.
Power throws a head kick that misses

so Adrian counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Adrian looking to sit in guard and control but Power gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Adrian wants to control but Power passes easily into half guard.
Adrian is breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Power controlling the pace.
Adrian trying to control from the bottom.
Power trying to control from half guard but Adrian is working away.
Power with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Power is keen to just control but Adrian is a slippery customer.
Adrian is trying to maintain the position but Power is very close to passing his half guard.
Power tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Adrian.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Power looks to land a strike but Adrian avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Adrian pushes Power off and gets back to his feet.
Good exchange - Power coming out on top.
Adrian on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Power misses with a head kick.
Marge Power is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Power throws a chopping leg kick but Adrian manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Power throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Power misses with a looping right.
Power fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Power cracks a nice hook into Adrian's ribs.
Power fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Adrian looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Power connects with a looping right hand.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Adrian tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Power cracks the inside of Adrian's front leg.
Power lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Power throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Adrian stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Power follows into mount!


Adrian is rocked!
Adrian holds on for dear life.
Adrian is still in real trouble! Can Power finish him?
Adrian wants to control but Power is having none of it.
Adrian seems to have recovered his senses.
Adrian is trying to escape the mount.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Power can't control as he wanted to and Adrian manages to get the fight back to his half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Marge Power dominated that second round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Power throws a hook but Adrian avoids it easily.
Adrian shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Marge Power is winning the standup battle so far.
Adrian blocks a head kick by Power.
A low kick from Power misses

and Adrian counters with a single leg into guard. Power didn't expect that.

Adrian stands and steps away. Power gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Adrian clinches up against the cage.
Power wants to break free but Adrian has control.

Adrian decides to pull guard.
Adrian looking to hit a scissor sweep but Power is one step ahead there.
Power postures up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Adrian manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Adrian lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Power hang on?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Power is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Adrian raining down shots from the mount!
Adrian looking to land elbow strikes but Power uses the position to regain half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Adrian working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Power's thigh. Power counters though and makes it back to full guard.
Adrian controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Power is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Adrian is looking to advance position but Power has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Power controlling the pace for now.
Adrian is in all sorts of trouble here.
Power can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Adrian is looking to escape.
Adrian tries to hold on but Power postures up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Power trying to control but Adrian is having none of it.
Power controlling his opponent.

And that's the end of the fight!
Andrew Adrian comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Adrian has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
