Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mike Tyson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Bob Bailey! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bailey moves into the clinch. Tyson manages to break the clinch.
Bailey closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Tyson lands a nice shot that snaps Bailey's head back.
Bailey misses with a takedown and Tyson counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Bailey closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Tyson to the mat! Tyson manages to get full guard. Tyson wants to stand and escape but Bailey is having none of it. Bailey throwing strikes but missing. Tyson wants to stand up but Bailey is controlling him. Tyson trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Tyson keeping moving, preventing Bailey from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bailey stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tyson swivels though and keeps the full guard. Bailey slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Bob Bailey hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Bailey with a poor takedown and Tyson counters with a three punch combo that has Bailey backing up. Bailey nods at Tyson to acknowledge the strikes. Bailey gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Tyson counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Mike Tyson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bob Bailey. Tyson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Bailey defends it nicely. Tyson throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Bailey doesn't succeed with the takedown and Tyson counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Bailey with a lazy takedown attempt and Tyson counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Bailey shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Tyson counters with a left and a right that stings Bailey.

Bailey with a lazy takedown attempt and Tyson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Tyson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Tyson. A nice right hand lands inside from Tyson. Bailey wants to break free but Tyson has control.
Tyson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Bailey gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Tyson counters with a lovely straight right hand! Tyson shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Bailey is trying to defend but Tyson finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Bailey trying to control from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Tyson with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bailey is looking to improve his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Bob Bailey wasn't active enough on the ground. Bailey doesn't succeed with the takedown and Tyson counters with a straight right hand. Bailey avoids a punch combination nicely.
Bailey looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Bailey takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Bailey doesn't succeed with the takedown and Tyson counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Tyson. Tyson wants to control from the top but Bailey keeps moving. Tyson not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bailey gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Bailey takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Tyson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Tyson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Bailey wants to hold on but Tyson pushes him away. Bailey really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bailey sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Bailey is looking for a sweep. Tyson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Bailey is trying to maintain the position but Tyson is very close to passing his half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Bailey wants to improve his position but Tyson is controlling well.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Bailey is adopting a defensive guard. Bailey controls Tyson momentarily but Tyson frees himself. Tyson stopping the sweep attempt from Bailey. Bailey trying to keep a closed guard but Tyson is proving a slippery customer.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Bailey wants to control but Tyson is keeping him busy. Tyson wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

And that's the end of the fight! Mike Tyson showed his dominance in that final round. Well Tyson has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
