Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Steve Austin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Hanson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Austin comes to the cage accompanied by Six Million Dollar Man. Hanson has chosen Eminem - No Love as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Steve Austin! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Steve Hanson! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, John Roberts and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Austin walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Hanson checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Austin misses with a two punch combination.
Nice shot lands for Austin. A shot to the body from Austin misses and Hanson counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Austin throws a right hand that misses
and Hanson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Steve Austin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hanson on the wrong end of a nice jab. Austin misses with a body shot
and Hanson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Hanson lands a jab to the head.
Austin throws an off balance right hand
and Hanson counters with a good, hard body kick but Austin shrugs it off. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Austin throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Hanson counters with a stiff right hand. Hanson is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Austin.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hanson looks to throw the jab but Austin is out of range. Austin misses with a lunging right hand
and Hanson counters with a leg kick. Austin slips a jab from Hanson. Austin is looking to clinch but Hanson is avoiding it.

and Hanson counters with a nice body shot. Austin is breathing heavily. Austin misses with a hook
and Hanson counters with a nice uppercut. Austin misses with a lunging right hand
and Hanson counters with a slapping leg kick. This has been an exciting period of action! A swing and a miss from Hanson. Austin darts in trying to clinch and Hanson counters with a beautiful punch that sends Austin to the canvas!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Hanson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Austin's guard. Hanson works his way into side control. Austin tries to improve position but can't. Hanson working away. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Hanson trying to control the position but Austin is working away. Austin is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Hanson off and has taken his back! Austin controlling well, preventing Hanson from escaping the position.

Austin has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Hanson has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Austin throwing wild punches that miss their target. Hanson tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Austin punching from mount but Hanson doing a good job of avoiding damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Hanson is trying desperately to improve position. Austin throwing strikes here but Hanson is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Austin punching from mount but Hanson doing a good job of avoiding damage. Hanson is squirming around, avoiding Austin's attempts to control the action. Hanson avoids a series of strikes thrown by Austin.
Hanson wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Austin.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hanson tries to hold on but Austin pushes him away. Austin looking to control but Hanson is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Steve Hanson dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

and Hanson counters with a straight right hand. Austin paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Austin throws a combination that misses and Hanson counters with a nice kick to the body. Austin tries to clinch up but Hanson circles away and keeps his distance. Austin throws a poor cross that misses
and Hanson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Austin lands the left hand. Austin misses with a combination
and Hanson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Austin swings and misses with a hook to the body.

and Hanson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hanson misses with an uppercut. Austin clobbers Hanson with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Austin misses with a lunging right hand
and Hanson counters with a good, hard body kick but Austin shrugs it off. Austin throws an ugly left hook that misses
enabling Hanson to counter with a crisp jab. Austin moves out of range of the body kick from Hanson.
Austin lands with a shot to the body. Austin slips a jab from Hanson. Hanson looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Hanson getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Austin swings away with a body shot that misses
and Hanson counters with a left and a right that stings Austin. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Austin shoots in but no luck this time. Hanson takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Hanson follows up with more strikes that drop Austin to his knees. Hanson keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Austin! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Steve Hanson! Steve Hanson is the new lightweight champion!
