Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Duse Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Hundges (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Duse Smith! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Matt Hundges! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Alec Ball and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hundges throws a head kick that misses and Smith counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Hundges trying to control the position.
Smith engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Hundges working a defensive guard here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hundges tries to land a sweep but no joy. Hundges is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Matt Hundges hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Hundges pivots, looking for a leg kick but Smith is out of range and Hundges settles back down. The fight stays on the outside here - Hundges looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Hundges dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Smith. That did some damage!
That's one minute gone in the round. Smith throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Smith closes the distance and clinches. Smith breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Smith tries to clinch there but Hundges circles away.
Hundges gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Smith counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Hundges looks gassed! Hundges trying to control the position.
Smith trying to control the position from guard on top but Hundges is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Smith in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Smith stands and throws Hundges's legs to the side, diving into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Smith staying calm. Smith moves into full mount! Smith with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Smith scoring with strikes but Hundges is staying in there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Smith trying to control but he's not successful this time. Hundges is looking to get to half guard. Hundges is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Smith controlling from mount. Hundges is trying to stand. A nice elbow there by Smith. Smith tries to control but Hundges wriggling away. Smith lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Smith looking to control but Hundges is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Smith lands a nice shot to the head. Smith landing shots from mount. Smith looking to finish Hundges with some ground and pound. This is bad for Hundges! Smith working for a guillotine from mount but Hundges is in no mood to give up. Hundges really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Duse Smith dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

The fight stays on the outside here - Smith looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Hundges shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Hundges was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Hundges controlling from mount. Hundges wants to take Smith's back but he can't do it this time. Duse Smith overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hundges swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Smith is now in Hundges's guard. A big mistake from Hundges there, giving up the dominant position! Smith trying to control but Hundges is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Smith throwing strikes but missing. Smith passes Hundges's left leg - he's now in half guard. Smith is trying to control the action in half guard but Hundges is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Smith is working for a kimura but Hundges is defending it quite comfortably.
Smith is trying to control. Hundges wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Hundges wants to control but Smith is keeping busy and won't allow it. Hundges is trying to stand up here but Smith is controlling him well. Hundges looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Hundges has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Smith is working away from the top position though. Hundges trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hundges is trying to escape the mount.
Hundges wants to hold on but Smith pushes him away. Hundges is in a horrible position here. Smith smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Smith has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Hundges tries to hold on but Smith postures up. Smith trying to control but Hundges is having none of it. Smith working away from the top, dropping strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Hundges is desperately trying to improve his position but Smith has a good base and remains in mount. Hundges tries to lock up and control but Smith gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. BOOM! Smith connects with a massive shot to the dome!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Smith controlling from mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Duse Smith dominated that second round. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Smith closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. This fight is sponsored by Chainsaw 7. More blood and guts and stuff like that, in cinemas everywhere now! Smith working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Smith looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Smith is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hundges has escaped the position, nice work there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hundges wants to control but Smith postures up. Hundges tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Smith wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Smith is looking to take a break and control but Hundges is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Smith goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Hundges has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Smith but great work by Hundges. Smith is not content to let Hundges control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Hundges taking a breather here. Let's hope that Hundges has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Hundges throwing shots but missing, from side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hundges is looking to take a break and control but Smith is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Smith taking a bit of punishment here - Hundges scoring with strikes. Smith sneaks back into half guard. Smith is looking to improve his position.
Smith kicks Hundges off and gets back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Smith fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hundges avoids it really well and circles away. Hundges throws a quick inside leg kick. Smith gets caught flat footed, as Hundges shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Smith managing to control the position. Hundges preventing the sweep.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Matt Hundges. Well Smith has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
