Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Derek Hunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rodrigo De Noteboom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Derek Hunt has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Derek Hunt seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunt with a lazy takedown attempt
and De Noteboom counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by De Noteboom.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if De Noteboom can do anything to dispel that myth.

De Noteboom suckers Hunt into throwing a sloppy strike and uses the momentum to reverse the position beautifully! De Noteboom is now in Hunt's guard!
Hunt has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Hunt looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Hunt wants to sweep here but De Noteboom controlling him for the moment.

De Noteboom really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hunt. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
De Noteboom stops Hunt from standing up.

Hunt is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. De Noteboom is aware though and is defending well.
Hunt is looking for a triangle but De Noteboom pushes his legs off easily.
De Noteboom won't allow Hunt to sweep him here.

and De Noteboom counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hunt won't be happy with that.
Hunt is not content to let De Noteboom control the position.
Hunt tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but De Noteboom wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
De Noteboom is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Hunt will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hunt makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Hunt.
Hunt lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for De Noteboom!
De Noteboom is looking to improve his position but Hunt isn't that keen on the idea.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Hunt postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. De Noteboom looks a forlorn figure.

Hunt has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for De Noteboom. Oh but Hunt has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! De Noteboom goes limp - he's gone! Hunt jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
