Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gabriel Kiptanui (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antti Rannanjarvi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kiptanui comes to the cage accompanied by SMC - Liukuhihna (feat.Rohtori,Paula Latzo) . Rannanjarvi has chosen Stonehenge by Spinal Tap as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Antti Rannanjarvi will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kiptanui shoots and misses
and Rannanjarvi counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Rannanjarvi is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Kiptanui tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Rannanjarvi counters with a head kick. That will keep Kiptanui thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Kiptanui. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Kiptanui manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Rannanjarvi on his heels. He'll look to pass Rannanjarvi's guard now, I'm sure.

Rannanjarvi cracks Kiptanui with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Oh Kiptanui is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Rannanjarvi feints and then cracks Kiptanui's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Kiptanui down.
Kiptanui seems to have got his legs back now.
Kiptanui fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Rannanjarvi is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Kiptanui misses with the body kick
and Rannanjarvi counters with an inside leg kick.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Rannanjarvi sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Rannanjarvi lands with a thumping leg kick.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Kiptanui is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Rannanjarvi screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
