PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cor Nepgen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Wyatt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Wyatt's choice of entrance music: Daft Punk - Face to face. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wyatt throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Nepgen works Wyatt's body with a nice hook.

Wyatt forces Nepgen back against the cage and clinches.

Nepgen shoots in looking for a takedown. Wyatt tries to sprawl out of it but Nepgen keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Wyatt manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Wyatt tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Nepgen paws at him with a jab and circles away.

and Nepgen counters with a nice double leg into side control. Wyatt won't be happy with that.
Wyatt pushes Nepgen away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Nepgen gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nepgen is looking to take a break and control but Wyatt is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Nepgen connects with a nice short shot to Wyatt's temple.
Nepgen is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
The fight stays on the outside here - Wyatt looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Nepgen works over Wyatt's head and body with a nice combination.

I would just about give that final round to Jose Wyatt.
I've got Wyatt winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
