Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Josh Wilkes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Dover (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Josh Wilkes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ben Dover! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Summer Carpenter and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wilkes with a poor takedown and Dover moves into the clinch. Dover manages to break the clinch.
Dover tries to clinch up. Wilkes shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Wilkes sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dover can't escape the position.
Dover is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Dover is wriggling around trying to escape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wilkes is landing with some decent strikes but Dover is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Wilkes controlling his opponent. Wilkes sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Wilkes takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Wilkes looking for a guillotine from mount but Dover is having none of it. Wilkes with the ground and pound from mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dover tries to lock up and control but Wilkes gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Wilkes controlling from mount. Dover tries to reverse the position but Wilkes maintains control. Dover takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Dover really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wilkes. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Wilkes with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Wilkes is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Dover can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wilkes is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Dover is surviving well by controlling Wilkes's body position as best he can. Wilkes controlling the position easily from mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wilkes's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Wilkes can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Dover is looking to escape. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Josh Wilkes dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Wilkes closes the distance and clinches. Wilkes has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Dover avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Dover taking a breather. Wilkes taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Wilkes can't find room to land a body shot as Dover controls the action.
Dover looking to slow down the pace here. Wilkes decides to pull guard. Dover is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Dover trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Dover wants to control from the top but Wilkes keeps moving. Dover is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Dover is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Ben Dover wasn't active enough on the ground. Wilkes rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Dover moves into the clinch. Wilkes with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Dover misses with a knee strike.
Wilkes avoiding damage.
Wilkes breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Wilkes moves into the clinch successfully.
Wilkes working hard to break the clinch. Wilkes fails to pull guard.
Dover is trying to stall.
Wilkes fails to pull the fight into his guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Josh Wilkes. That's going to take a lot out of him. Wilkes jumps guard but Dover stands there with Wilkes around his waist. Wilkes gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Dover keeps control of Wilkes as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Dover prevents the takedown attempt.
Wilkes tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Dover just stands there and leans against the cage. Wilkes misses with the head strike.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dover missing with knees to the body.
Wilkes pulls Dover into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wilkes keeping moving, preventing Dover from controlling successfully. Wilkes is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Wilkes is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. A battle for position here, against the cage. Wilkes avoiding damage as Dover throws knees to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wilkes stalls. Wilkes breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Wilkes gets in close and instigates a clinch. Wilkes drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Wilkes's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. An inside leg kick lands from Wilkes. Dover wants to clinch and Wilkes counters with a shoot takedown. Dover fights it but they end up in guard. Dover can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Wilkes controls the pace. Wilkes passes easily into side control. Nice work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wilkes staying calm. Wilkes in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Dover is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
