The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dann fails to land with a series of punches.
Alejandro Santiago seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Santiago takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Santiago gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Dann counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Santiago!
Dann is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!

Dann is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Dann shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Santiago is trying to defend but Dann finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Dann in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Santiago tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Dann!
