Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Robin Banks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Foe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joe Foe is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Robin Banks! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Joe Foe! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Eliza Hachem and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Foe looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Banks keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Banks is not content to let Foe control the position. Banks avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Foe. Banks trying to hold on to Foe's head to control him but Foe postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Banks blocking the ground and pound attempt from Foe. Foe is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Foe is looking to take a break and control but Banks is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Foe seems to be working for a kimura but Banks defends the submission attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Banks is pressing down on Foe's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Foe has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Foe trying to control but Banks is working from the bottom. Foe loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Foe not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Foe throwing strikes but missing. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Foe accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Foe postures up in Banks's guard and throws a big left but Banks blocks it. Foe is looking to work some ground and pound but Banks has wrist control. Foe has gone for a leg lock! Banks slips out almost immediately though and dives into Foe's guard.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Foe looking for a guillotine here but Banks defends easily.
Foe keeping moving, preventing Banks from controlling successfully. Foe avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Foe is trying to keep Banks in close.
Banks throwing strikes but missing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Foe has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Banks doesn't defend quickly enough and Foe has managed to lock this one up! Can Banks escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Foe on a fantastic submission victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Joe Foe!
