Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rick Mulroy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bud Bundy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bud Bundy will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Rick Mulroy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Bud Bundy! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Daniel Bishop and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Excellent takedown into side control there by Mulroy. Bundy wants to control but Mulroy postures up. Mulroy is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Bundy knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Mulroy slows the pace down. Bundy regains half guard. Mulroy is thwarting Bundy's attempts to control the position. Bundy gets full guard. Bundy seems keen to control Mulroy's posture. Bundy is trying to control the position but Mulroy postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mulroy stopping the sweep attempt from Bundy. Mulroy is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Mulroy seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Bundy for as long as he can get away with. Bundy thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Mulroy lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Bundy holds on and takes a little breather. Mulroy wants to pass the guard but Bundy is keeping the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Bundy keeping moving, preventing Mulroy from controlling successfully. Bundy looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mulroy is one step ahead there. Bundy is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Mulroy postures up and lands a big shot to Bundy's brow.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Mulroy feints and as Bundy raises his hands in defense, Mulroy changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Bundy looks gassed! Mulroy is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Mulroy gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Mulroy misses with an uppercut. Bundy saw that one coming. Bundy stalks Mulroy and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Mulroy's face. Mulroy staggers backwards, shaken. Mulroy tries to close the distance and clinch but Bundy swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mulroy clinches up against the cage. Bundy wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Mulroy gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Bundy keeps control of Mulroy as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Bundy landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Bundy goes for a takedown in the clinch but Mulroy prevents it.
Bundy is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Mulroy is keeping busy. Bundy wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Bundy lands a right hand that snaps the head of Mulroy backwards. Bundy drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Mulroy gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Mulroy is looking to clinch but Bundy is avoiding it.
Bundy tries to clinch but fails miserably and Mulroy counters with a nice double leg into side control. Bundy won't be happy with that. Bundy prevents Mulroy from moving into mount. Bundy is looking for a sweep. Bundy wants to control but Mulroy postures up. Bundy is trying to get back to half guard. Mulroy decides to stand back up. Mulroy steps back and let's Bundy get back to his feet. Mulroy just misses with a punch to the body.
Mulroy throws a chopping leg kick but Bundy manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Bundy clinches but Mulroy breaks the clinch and Mulroy counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Mulroy. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Bundy keeping moving, preventing Mulroy from controlling successfully. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Bundy wants to sweep here but Mulroy controlling him for the moment.

Mulroy feints and as Bundy raises his hands in defense, Mulroy changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Bundy controls Mulroy momentarily but Mulroy frees himself. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bundy manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Bundy has hold of Mulroy's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Mulroy manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Bundy has control of Mulroy's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Mulroy regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Bundy seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Mulroy is holding on tight.
Mulroy is looking to get to half guard. Bundy tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bundy fails to advance to Mulroy's back. Bundy looking to finish with strikes here!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Bundy prevents Mulroy from getting the reversal. Bundy thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Mulroy wants to control but Bundy is having none of it. Bundy unloads with some shots from mount but Mulroy bucks and avoids them well.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Mulroy is holding on to half guard well. Bundy seems to be working for a kimura but Mulroy defends the submission attempt. Bundy decides to stand and escape the position. Mulroy throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bundy's waist but Bundy gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mulroy off to one side. Bundy drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Bundy is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Bundy thows a big elbow that misses. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bundy wants to stand but Mulroy is controlling his posture from full guard. Mulroy scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Rick Mulroy dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Mulroy closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Bundy can't do much from the bottom here. Bundy is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Mulroy off and has taken his back! Even with his hooks in, Bundy manages to miss with strikes from the back. Mulroy holding both Bundy 's hands and preventing any damage. Mulroy tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Mulroy wants to get back to his feet.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Mulroy wants to control but Bundy is having none of it.

Mulroy is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Rick Mulroy overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Mulroy sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Mulroy is trying to maintain the position but Bundy is very close to passing his half guard. Bundy content to control rather than advance. Mulroy keeps control of the position for the meantime. Bundy prevents Mulroy from standing back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Bundy is looking for a kimura but Mulroy is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Bundy to get the leverage. It looks like Bundy is going to stand back up.
Bundy is trying to control the action in half guard but Mulroy is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Mulroy shoots in looking for a takedown. Bundy tries to sprawl out of it but Mulroy keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bundy manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Bundy fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mulroy, pushing him back against the cage. Bundy wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Bundy misses with a knee strike.
Mulroy has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Bundy uses from the top position. Mulroy is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Bundy stops Mulroy from standing up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mulroy keeping moving, preventing Bundy from controlling successfully. Mulroy wants to sweep but no luck. Mulroy has Bundy pulled in close to control his posture. Bundy is looking to stand up but Mulroy won't let him. Mulroy seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Bundy must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Bundy wants to control from the top but Mulroy keeps moving. Bundy is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Mulroy wants to sweep here but Bundy controlling him for the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Bundy controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Mulroy has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bundy can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Bundy gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Mulroy gets the takedown into side control. Bundy looking for a sweep but Mulroy has passed into full mount! Oh no! Bundy is wriggling around trying to escape.
Mulroy controlling the position easily from mount. Bundy tries to control Mulroy's body but Mulroy pushes him off. Bundy squirms to his side and now Mulroy has his back!
And that's the end of the fight! Rick Mulroy showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Mulroy, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
