Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Michael Bisping! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, David Tennant! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Thiago Cunha and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tennant closes the distance but Bisping moves to the side enabling Bisping to counter with a crisp jab. Tennant takes one to the chin there. Michael Bisping seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tennant shoots and misses letting Bisping counter with a right hand. Bisping throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Tennant with a poor takedown and Bisping counters with a nice body shot. Bisping scores with a three punch combo!
Bisping connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Tennant shoots in but doesn't get the takedown letting Bisping counter with a right hand. Michael Bisping has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David Tennant.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tennant doesn't succeed with the takedown and Tennant takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Tennant showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Bisping.
Bisping lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Bisping feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Tennants jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Tennant tries to clinch but Bisping moves away enabling Bisping to counter with a crisp jab. Tennant doesn't succeed with the takedown and Bisping counters with a stiff right hand.

and Tennant counters with a head kick. That will keep Bisping thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Bisping misses with a leg kick and Tennant counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Bisping is lucky that one didn't land flush. Tennant has his takedown stuffed and Bisping counters with a lovely straight right hand! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Bisping scores with a nice right hand.

and Tennant counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Bisping is looking for a sweep. Tennant is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Bisping is working hard here to advance position. Tennant trying to control from half guard but Bisping is working away. Tennant is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Bisping defends it well. Bisping moves into full guard.
Tennant passes easily into side control. Nice work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tennant trying to control the action but Bisping is working from the bottom. Tennant is trying to get an arm triangle but Bisping is defending well. Bisping tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Tennant wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Bisping manages to get back to half guard. Tennant trying to control the action but Bisping is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Michael Bisping dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Tennant tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Bisping counters with a nice uppercut. Tennant tries for a takedown but Bisping circles away easily and Bisping counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Bisping misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Bisping throws out a loose jab but Tennant uses good head movement to avoid it. Tennant drops his hands momentarily and Bisping takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Tennant misses with a takedown attempt and Bisping counters with a series of strikes. Tennant will be more careful next time no doubt.

and Tennant counters with a big head kick but Bisping shrugs it off. Michael Bisping is winning the standup battle so far. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Tennant takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Tennant is breathing heavily. Bisping scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Tennant shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Bisping counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Bisping will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Bisping fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Bisping throws out a loose jab but Tennant uses good head movement to avoid it. Bisping lands a really nice looking cross but Tennant seems unphased.

That sent Tennant stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. David Tennant is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bisping tries to bum rush Tennant with a series of wild strikes but Tennant uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Bisping is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Tennant can do to turn this around? Tennant misses with a takedown attempt and Bisping counters with a straight right hand. Tennant uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bisping.
Tennant takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Tennant on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Bisping fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tennant manages to avoid it. David Tennant has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Nice body punch from Bisping.
And that's the end of the fight! Michael Bisping showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bisping, winning every round. Will the judges agree?
