Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Maxim Kravchenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thallis Martins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Thallis Martins!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Thiago Cunha and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Kravchenko counters by moving into the clinch.

Kravchenko closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Martins's guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Kravchenko looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Kravchenko takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Kravchenko cracks Martins with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Kravchenko knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Martins on the ground.

Kravchenko is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Martins can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

We're going to have a standup here because Maxim Kravchenko wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Martins gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
