Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Tomasz Franusik! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Richard Davidson! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Glass and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Franusik scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Franusik looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Franusik seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Franusik throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. The fighters are battling for position here. Davidson manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Franusik pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Davidson is keeping the position for now. Franusik trying to control but Davidson is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Davidson is looking to stand up but Franusik isn't so interested in that idea. Davidson keeping moving, preventing Franusik from controlling successfully.
Tomasz Franusik has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Davidson throws a sloppy head kick and Franusik counters with a nice double leg into guard. Franusik advances to half guard. Davidson pushes Franusik off looking to stand but Franusik dives back in and keeps control.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Davidson tries to kick Franusik off but Franusik keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Franusik wants to take a breather but Davidson is having none of it. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Franusik is nestled in close to Davidson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Franusik keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Davidson tries to roll over but Franusik keeps him under control. Davidson looks gassed! Davidson wants to get back to his feet. Franusik is pressing down on Davidson's thigh, looking to free his foot. Davidson is holding on for now. Franusik looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Davidson is in trouble now - Franusik has advanced to mount! Franusik controlling the pace for now. Franusik lands with some strikes. Franusik is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Davidson is surviving well by controlling Franusik's body position as best he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Davidson is looking to improve his position but Franusik isn't that keen on the idea. Franusik in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.

Davidson misses with a leg kick and Franusik counters with a shoot takedown. Davidson fights it but they end up in guard. Franusik working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Davidson's head. Franusik trying to control but Davidson is working from the bottom. Franusik connects with a couple of short punches. Davidson throwing strikes off his back to little effect.

We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Franusik sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Davidson defending well though. Franusik wants to take a breather but Davidson is having none of it.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Tomasz Franusik just wasn't active enough. Davidson misses with a few strikes there.
Davidson throws a combination that misses and Franusik counters with a nice double leg into guard. Franusik passes Davidson's left leg - he's now in half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Franusik sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Davidson defending well though. Davidson keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Franusik is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Franusik thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Davidson's head. Franusik seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Davidson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Franusik is taking a breather. Davidson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Franusik is looking to take a break and control but Davidson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Franusik stalling.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Tomasz Franusik just wasn't active enough. Franusik feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Franusik stops Davidson from standing up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Franusik with shots to the head and body - Davidson looks very uncomfortable down there. Franusik trying to control but he's not successful this time. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Franusik cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Franusik has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Franusik punishing his opponent with strikes. Franusik is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Davidson can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Franusik looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Richard Davidson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Tomasz Franusik is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Franusik takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
And that's the end of the fight! Tomasz Franusik showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Franusik, winning every round. Will the judges agree?
