Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Axel Throttle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Calvin Cahoon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Axel Throttle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Calvin Cahoon!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Trevor Gratis and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Throttle shoots and misses
and Cahoon counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Throttle pushes Cahoon off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Throttle with a lazy takedown attempt
and Cahoon counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Throttle scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Cahoon manages to mount him!
Cahoon is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Throttle has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Cahoon avoids the attempt from Throttle to control.
Cahoon blocks Throttle's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
Throttle is working to get back to half guard.
Cahoon looking to control and managing it successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Cahoon lands a big shot there that rocks Throttle but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Cahoon prevents Throttle from getting the reversal.
Throttle is trying to reverse the position but instead Cahoon has taken his back - oops!
Throttle wants to get back to his feet.
Cahoon is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Throttle has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Cahoon has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Throttle taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Cahoon doesn't care though - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Calvin Cahoon!
