Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cooper King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Myers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Cooper King! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, James Myers! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Trevor Gratis and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Myers fails to land with a series of punches.
King has closed the distance and engaged Myers in a clinch.
Myers tries to break free but King pushes him back against the cage. King lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Myers wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but King has him pressed against the cage. King pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. King is looking to clinch but Myers is avoiding it.
Myers rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but King moves out of range and avoids them all easily. King ducks under a wild hook from Myers. King forces Myers back against the cage and clinches. King jumps guard and drags Myers to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. King throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
King bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Myers's guard. Myers working a defensive guard here.
King postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Myers is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of King, into his guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. King is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Myers is aware though and is defending well. King working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Myers doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Myers manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. King looking for subs off his back but Myers has passed one foot through into half guard.
King wants to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. King tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Myers has advanced to mount. Uh oh. King is desperately trying to improve his position but Myers has a good base and remains in mount. King gets back to half guard. King tries to get to full guard but Myers has control of the leg. King regains full guard. Nicely done.
That's three minutes gone in the round. King working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Myers has passed into half guard!

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Myers trying to control but he's not successful this time. Myers prevents King from getting the reversal. King is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. King slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cooper King dominated that round. That's time! King's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
King tries to clinch but Myers is having none of it. King lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Myers takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Myers tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Myers lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but King circles away quickly and effectively. Myers swinging wildly here.
Myers swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
King moves out of range of the strikes. Nice takedown defense from Myers. No joy for King on that attempt. Myers bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Cooper King is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Nice takedown defense from Myers. No joy for King on that attempt. Cooper King seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Myers throws a combination but it was largely blocked by King. Myers misses with a body shot.
King wants to clinch. Horrible takedown by King or perhaps it was just good defense by Myers which made him look bad. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cooper King. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. King scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. King goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Myers has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for King but great work by Myers. King regains half guard. King works his way to full guard. Good work. King is looking for a triangle here but Myers uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
King tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Myers wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. King is not content to let Myers control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. King is pushing Myers's head away, looking to escape. Myers manages to hold on to the position though. King tries to buck Myers off but Myers is having none of it. King is trying to escape and get back to his feet. King is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Myers's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

King is trying to get back to full guard. King looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. King is looking to improve his position.
King works his way to full guard. Good work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. King looking to hit a scissor sweep but Myers is one step ahead there. King looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Myers passes into side control.
Myers is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt King will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cooper King dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

King is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Myers lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Myers.
It looks like Cooper King has been cut. King wants to clinch. The fighters circling - Myers throws out the jab but it was never going to land. King fails with the takedown. King fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. King closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Myers did well to prevent King getting side control. King wants to free his trapped foot but Myers is holding on for dear life with his legs. King is working hard here to advance position. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Myers tries to kick King off but King keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. King seems to be looking for submissions.
Myers wants to control but King is keeping busy.
King is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Myers sees it coming and defends easily. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Myers has his hands clasped together around King's back. He's all about the action. King wants to work for an arm triangle but Myers is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. King is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! King goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Myers is on top in guard.
James Myers has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Myers is stalling in the full guard.

Cooper King is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. King wants to get back to his feet.

King is controlling Myers's trapped leg to prevent Myers from advancing to side control. King tries to roll over but Myers keeps him under control. King trying to control but Myers postures up.
Myers stalling.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. King tries to clinch there but Myers circles away.
King shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Myers pinned against the cage. Myers gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
And that's the end of the fight! James Myers comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think King has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
