The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cooper tries for a takedown but Brashear circles away easily
and Brashear counters with a nice body kick.

Brashear has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Cooper is working away from the top position though.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
You get the feeling that Brashear really doesn't like being in this position too much.

That was a close round but I would say that Donald Brashear will probably get the nod.

Cooper has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Brashear can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
