Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kenny Hubbard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cayden James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kenny Hubbard! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cayden James! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Alan Glass and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hubbard closes this distance looking for a takedown but James circles away. Hubbard checks a low kick from James. James moves into range and clinches up with Hubbard. Hubbard turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Hubbard manages to end up in side control. James pushes Hubbard away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Hubbard gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Hubbard wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by James, who protects the arm well. James wants to get back to his feet but Hubbard drags him back down. Hubbard wants to lay and pray for a moment but James keeps working. Hubbard is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. James knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Hubbard is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hubbard wants to control but James is keeping him busy. James prevents Hubbard from improving position. Hubbard tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hubbard has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! James is trying to buck Hubbard off. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Hubbard working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Hubbard is breathing heavily. Hubbard tries to move to mount but James blocks the move with his legs.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. James wants to clinch up but Hubbard keeps it at a distance. Hubbard misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
James wants to clinch. James stuffs the takedown attempt from Hubbard. Hubbard gets slowly back to his feet. James drives through and clinches with Hubbard against the cage.
James manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. James wants to stand up but Hubbard is controlling him. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hubbard drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hubbard jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Hubbard is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. James is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Hubbard wants to control from the top but James keeps moving. Hubbard tries to free his leg and advance position but James is retaining full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Hubbard swats away the attempt to clinch by James. James fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Hubbard, pushing him back against the cage. Hubbard changes levels and goes for a takedown here. James fights it off and pushes away nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kenny Hubbard. That's going to take a lot out of him. James circles away from the clinch attempt.
The fight stays on the outside here - Hubbard looks like he's thinking about clinching though. James scores with a nice body kick.
James instigates a clinch. Hubbard turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Hubbard is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. James knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Hubbard controlling the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hubbard fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. James throws a nice looking combination but Hubbard bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Hubbard looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? James lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. James fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. James clinches. Hubbard breaks the clinch.
James blocks a jab. Hubbard takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. James feints and then cracks Hubbard's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Hubbard down. Hubbard shoots for a takedown but James saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Hubbard on the wrong end of a kick to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round. Hubbard closes this distance looking for a takedown but James circles away. Hubbard takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Hubbard tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but James swivels and escapes. Hubbard shoots in and drives through. James sprawls well. James throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Hubbard looks for a takedown but James sprawls well. James jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Kenny Hubbard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hubbard drives through with a takedown into guard. Hubbard wants to pass the guard but James is keeping the position. Hubbard stops James from standing up. Hubbard stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. James swivels though and keeps the full guard. Hubbard stops James from standing up. Hubbard gets to his feet. James looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Hubbard will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Hubbard is rocked! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. James tries to stand but Hubbard is controlling his head. James has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. James rushes Hubbard and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Hubbard tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
James breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Thud! ouch! good body kick from James - that will leave a mark!
A combination from James does no damage. Hubbard misses with a takedown attempt - James sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. No luck for Hubbard with that takedown attempt. James circles away from the clinch attempt.
James scores with a spinning back kick! James scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
That's three minutes gone in the round. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hubbard. Hubbard shoots for a double leg takedown but James sprawls well. He's pushed Hubbard's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Hubbard fails with a takedown attempt. James misses with a body kick. James scores with a hook to the body. Hubbard takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. James misses with a two punch combination.

James stands up from Hubbard's guard - James perhaps looking for a knockout. Hubbard shoots in for a double leg but James sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Hubbard shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says James as he avoids it easily. Cayden James seems to be getting the better of the standup. Hubbard looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? James is fending him off so far but Hubbard persists. Nope, James circles away and we're back to standing. Nice takedown defense from James. No joy for Hubbard on that attempt. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hubbard tries to clinch but James moves away and James counters by clinching up. Hubbard has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. James avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. James is fighting off a takedown attempt but Hubbard is just too persistent for him and manages to trip James to the mat. James regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Hubbard stops James from standing up. Hubbard wants to pass the guard but James is keeping the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cayden James showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
James throws a one two combo.
James moves in looking to clinch but Hubbard pushes him off. Hubbard tries for a takedown but James sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. James tries to clinch up but Hubbard circles away and keeps his distance. James scores with a three punch combo!
James misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

James scores with a slapping inside leg kick. A decent looking body kick lands there for James. James drops Hubbard with a beautiful combination! Hubbard stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - James is looking for the KO! Oh Hubbard is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! This has been an exciting period of action! Hubbard closes the distance and clinches up with James, looking for a takedown. Hubbard pushes James against the cage but James circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Hubbard dodges the punch combination from James.
Hubbard with a lazy takedown attempt and James counters with a left and a right... And another left! Hubbard is down! He's done! The ref dives in to save him and that's the end of the fight!
