The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Souza has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Silva throws a right and a left that both miss.
Souza throws a sloppy head kick and Silva moves out of range easily.
Silva dodges the punch combination from Souza.
Souza looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Silva misses with a wild combination.
Souza is trying hard to land a takedown here. Silva sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Silva lands with a nice combination. Souza backs away looking to recover.
It looks like Carlos Souza has been cut.
Silva scores with a crisp jab that stopped Souza in his tracks.
Silva avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Souza tries to clinch up but Silva circles away and keeps his distance.
Souza on the wrong end of a nice jab.

Souza has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Silva avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Silva fails to pull guard.
Souza tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Silva just stands there and leans against the cage.
Mike Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carlos Souza.

Souza is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Silva is keeping busy.
Souza misses with a knee strike.
Silva gets underhooks to prevent Souza's takedown attempt.
Souza is working for takedown but Silva is calmly controlling the position for now.
Souza tries to circle away but Silva has him pinned against the cage.
Silva escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Silva scores with a jab to the head.
Silva lands a left and a right that send Souza crashing to the mat, dazed. Silva thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Souza is rocked!
Souza looks gassed!
Silva connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Souza! He's out on his feet! Silva rushes in and drops Souza with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
