Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Caiden Cross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fetty Mockenmaker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cross comes to the cage accompanied by Knockout. Mockenmaker has chosen break ya fu**ing neck as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mockenmaker fails with the takedown and Cross counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Mockenmaker misses with a body punch
and Cross counters with a straight right hand. Cross darts in trying to clinch and Mockenmaker decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Cross's guard. Mockenmaker content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Mockenmaker is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mockenmaker trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cross pulls Mockenmaker in close to his closed guard and prevents Mockenmaker from doing any damage or advancing position. Mockenmaker has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Mockenmaker loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Cross on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Cross tries to get out of the position. Mockenmaker slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Mockenmaker wants to pass the guard but Cross is keeping the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Caiden Cross has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Cross looks to clinch and Mockenmaker counters with a single leg into guard. Cross didn't expect that. Cross wants to stand up but Mockenmaker is controlling him. Mockenmaker thows a big elbow that misses. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cross avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Mockenmaker controlling from the top position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mockenmaker lands a couple of decent looking shots. Mockenmaker pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Cross is keeping the position for now. Mockenmaker throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Cross works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Mockenmaker thows a big elbow that misses. Cross keeping full guard, as Mockenmaker tries to pass.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Mockenmaker with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Mockenmaker seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Mockenmaker throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Fetty Mockenmaker dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Cross looks to score with a jab to the body but Mockenmaker is just out of range. Cross closes the distance looking to clinch and Mockenmaker counters with a nice double leg into guard. Mockenmaker is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Mockenmaker wants to pass the guard but Cross is keeping the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mockenmaker is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Mockenmaker sitting in guard, not really doing much. Cross knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mockenmaker on the ground. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Mockenmaker passes Cross's left leg - he's now in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mockenmaker controlling the action here. Mockenmaker not landing any meaningful shots this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Mockenmaker connects with a nice short shot to Cross's temple. Mockenmaker is looking for a kimura here.
Mockenmaker content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mockenmaker looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Cross with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Mockenmaker wants to pass the guard but Cross is defending well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Fetty Mockenmaker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Mockenmaker tries for a takedown but Cross circles away easily and Cross makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Cross gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Mockenmaker to score an easy takedown into full guard. Mockenmaker showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Cross avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Mockenmaker is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Fetty Mockenmaker wasn't active enough on the ground. Cross takes a swing at Mockenmaker's ribcage but misses. Mockenmaker doesn't succeed with the takedown and Cross counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Caiden Cross has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Cross tries to clinch but Mockenmaker moves away and Mockenmaker counters with a nice double leg into side control. Cross won't be happy with that. Mockenmaker misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Fetty Mockenmaker has got the better of the ground game so far. Mockenmaker slows the pace down. Mockenmaker tries for a kimura but Cross is defending well. The strikes coming from Mockenmaker are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cross avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Mockenmaker. Mockenmaker misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Mockenmaker working the ground and pound. Cross trying to remain calm as Mockenmaker controls from the top position. Fetty Mockenmaker is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Let's hope that Mockenmaker has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
