Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jamie Foster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mario Linic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Foster comes to the cage accompanied by Ruff Ryders Anthem-DMX. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Foster throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Foster throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Foster wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Linic wants a takedown.
Linic is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Foster pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Foster stops a takedown attempt from Linic.
Jamie Foster has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mario Linic.
Foster trying to control the position but instead, Linic has worked for underhooks and has pushed Foster into the cage.
Foster gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Linic.
Linic blocks an uppercut.
Linic is trying to drag Foster to the mat but Foster just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Linic lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Linic has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Foster avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

and Linic counters with a one-two to the body.
Linic looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Linic lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Linic throws a quick inside leg kick.
Foster darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

It looks like Mario Linic has been cut.

so Linic counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Linic accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Foster is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Linic throws a big right hand that misses.
Foster avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Linic postures up in Foster's guard and throws a big left but Foster blocks it.
Linic is looking to work some ground and pound but Foster has wrist control.

Foster working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Linic has passed into half guard!
Linic not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Linic seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Linic sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Foster defending well though.
Linic landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Linic is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Foster defends it well.
Foster keeping control of the position.
Linic thows a huge punch but Foster dodges it nicely.

Linic is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Foster has managed to free his arm - good work.

Linic is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Foster defends it well.
Linic throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Linic looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Foster jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Foster looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

Foster fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Foster throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Foster with a hook.
Jamie Foster seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Linic misses with a hook
and Foster connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Foster lands a nice hook to Linic's body. Linic takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Foster throws a hook but Linic blocks it.
Foster clobbers Linic with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Linic takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Linic has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Linic there as he acknowledges the shot.
Linic is breathing heavily.
Foster moves into range and connects with a jab.

Linic is rocked!
Linic gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Foster gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Linic is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
