Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Yogi Hendo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julius Travinski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yogi Hendo looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yogi Hendo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Julius Travinski! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hendo fails with a takedown attempt. Travinski drives through with a takedown into guard. Travinski passes Hendo's right leg, so he's now in half guard. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Travinski lands a nice short elbow. Travinski wants to free his trapped foot but Hendo is holding on for dear life with his legs. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Travinski landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Travinski lands a nice short elbow. Hendo won't allow Travinski to pass to mount. Nice strikes from Travinski there. Hendo seems to have got his legs back now. Hendo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Travinski can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Hendo is breathing heavily. Travinski lands a couple of decent looking shots.
That's one minute gone in the round. Travinski with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Hendo wants to sweep but no luck. Travinski postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Travinski chips away with some ground and pound. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Travinski's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Travinski distracts Hendo with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Hendo has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Travinski is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Hendo. Travinski works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Travinski advances nicely into full mount. Hendo takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Hendo taking shots to the head. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Hendo is looking to improve his position but Travinski isn't that keen on the idea. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hendo bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Travinski manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hendo manages to get himself to full guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Hendo with a poor takedown and Travinski counters with a nice double leg into guard. Travinski is in close to Hendo's body, working some short punches and elbows. Travinski lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Travinski won't allow Hendo to sweep him here. Travinski keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Hendo's head. Travinski lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Hendo with a lazy takedown attempt and Travinski counters with a takedown into side control. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yogi Hendo. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hendo is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Travinski is nestled in close to Hendo, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Travinski throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Hendo wants to get back to his feet.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Travinski shoots and misses and Hendo counters by moving into the clinch. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Hendo lands a knee to the head.

Travinski thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Hendo is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Travinski's leg. Hendo Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Travinski's back instead. Travinski breaks Hendo's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
