Slabinac comes to the ring accompanied by OŠINI PO PRAŠINI . Jashari is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Jashari Entrance. Krunoslav Slabinac has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Adem Jashari!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jashari swings widly with a right hand
and Slabinac cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Slabinac drops back, looking for a kneebar! Jashari looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Jashari looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Jashari!
Slabinac tries to buck Jashari off but Jashari is having none of it.

Slabinac takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Slabinac drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Slabinac looking to control but instead Jashari has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.

Slabinac is working for a submission of some sort.

Slabinac is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Slabinac is looking to advance position but Jashari won't allow it.

Jashari holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.

Slabinac is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jashari is just riding it out for now. Slabinac eventually gives up the hold.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Good leg kick by Jashari there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Slabinac takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Slabinac is breathing heavily.

and Slabinac counters with a straight right hand.
Jashari will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Jashari uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Slabinac has time to react.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Slabinac, as that shot connected.

Jashari misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Jashari avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Jashari displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Slabinac throws out the jab.

and Jashari counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Jashari defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Slabinac.
Slabinac takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Jashari ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Slabinac moves away.
Adem Jashari is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jashari tries to land a front kick but Slabinac steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Krunoslav Slabinac will probably get the nod.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Slabinac is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Jashari still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Jashari has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
