The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Newton closes the distance and clinches up with Edvards, looking for a takedown. Newton pushes Edvards against the cage but Edvards circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Newton is trying hard to land a takedown here. Edvards sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
