Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
9 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jason Stern!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Trent Morgan!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morgan looks to throw a body kick
and Stern counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Morgan misses with a head kick.
Morgan throws an off balance right hand
and Stern cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Morgan throws out a loose jab but Stern uses good head movement to avoid it.
A low kick from Morgan misses
and Stern makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

and Stern counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Stern throws a hook but Morgan blocks it.
Stern cracks Morgan with a right hand to the side of the head.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Morgan connects with a leg kick. Stern looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Morgan throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Stern counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Morgan thinking.
Morgan thows a leg kick but Stern checks it
and Stern counters with a nice uppercut.
Stern just misses with a punch to the body.
Both fighters circling a little - Morgan finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Morgan throws a left and a right that both miss
and Stern counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Morgan looks gassed!
Morgan ducks under a wild hook from Stern.
Morgan misses with a body punch
and Stern counters with a lovely shot to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Stern thuds a left hand into Morgan's body.
A jab from Stern does it's job there.
Stern misses with a double jab.
Stern lunges at Morgan with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Morgan's hand.
Morgan tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Stern counters with a big right hand! Oh Morgan is in trouble here! Stern follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jason Stern!
