The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sponder with a lazy takedown attempt
and Daneele counters with a nice uppercut.
Daneele tries to bum rush Sponder with a series of wild strikes but Sponder uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Sponder pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Daneele misses with a wild combination.
Sponder throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Daneele lands a right hook to the body.
Sponder throws a head kick but Daneele moves out of range.
Daneele blocks a head kick by Sponder.
Sponder tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Sponder throws a head kick that misses.
Daneele scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Sponder doesn't seem bothered though.
Sponder looks gassed!
Daneele lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
It looks like Marko Sponder has been cut.
Marko Sponder seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Daneele lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Sponder sprawling to the canvas. Daneele follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Sponder hang on?
Sponder is rocked!

Daneele scores with a big shot! Sponder's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Sponder! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
