The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sloppy strikes from Rogers. Those never looked like landing. Rogers swinging wildly here.
Butcher throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rogers's waist but Rogers gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Butcher off to one side. Rogers has managed to clinch.
Rogers struggles to land a body shot inside as Butcher controls his hands.
Rogers tries to break the clinch but Butcher is controlling the position. Rogers scores with an uppercut up the middle. Butcher jumps guard.
Butcher looking for a guillotine here but Rogers defends easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rogers would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Butcher working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rogers doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Butcher is tightening it up a little... Rogers has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Rogers reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Rogers taps out! nice BJJ there by Butcher!
