The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mendes shoots in but Clinch avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Clinch pushes Mendes up against the ropes in a clinch.
Clinch tries a knee to the head but Mendes blocks it.
Clinch misses with a knee to the head.
Clinch tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Clinch looking to throw knees to the head but Mendes is blocking nicely.

Mendes breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Clinch drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Mendes is trying to control the position but Clinch postures up.
