The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dmc throws a nice inside leg kick.
Rage misses with a combination
and Dmc counters with an outside leg kick.
Brock Rage seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rage throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Dmc counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Rage throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Dmc really is a fat lump.
A low kick from Rage is predictable there
and Dmc counters with a good low kick that Rage was not able to check.
Good leg kick by Dmc there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Good standup being displayed there by Rage as he connects with a hook.
Rage throws a sloppy head kick
and Dmc counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Rage misses with a left hand
and Dmc counters with a nice uppercut.
Rage pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Dmc misses with a lunging right hand
and Rage counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Rage on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Rage connects with a nice looking jab.
It looks like Run Dmc has been cut.
Rage lands a left and a right that send Dmc crashing to the mat, dazed. Rage thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Dmc is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rage misses with a wild combination.
Rage throws a combination that misses
and Dmc counters with a solid body kick.
Rage drops Dmc with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Dmc looks back up at him and smiles so Rage waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Oh Dmc is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rage ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Dmc seems to have got his legs back now.
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Rage has cracked Dmc with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Rage lands another huge swinging hook and Dmc tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Dmc, before Rage can land any more shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Brock Rage!
