Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mike Tyson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Roberto Silva! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, William Gold and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tyson misses with a hook
and Silva counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Tyson's guard now. Tyson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Tyson working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Silva has passed into half guard!
Silva takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Tyson looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Tyson looks like he's trying to stand up.
Tyson looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Tyson tries to kick Silva off but Silva keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Tyson is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Silva jumps into side control!
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva advances to mount. Tyson is trying desperately to improve position. Tyson is breathing heavily. Silva controlling the pace for now. Tyson working to try and regain half guard.
Silva controlling from mount. It looks like Silva might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tyson is trying to escape the mount.
Silva controlling the position easily from mount. Let's hope that Silva has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Tyson is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Silva controlling from the full mount. Tyson is trying desperately to improve position. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva controlling his opponent. Tyson swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. Tyson has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever. Tyson tries to roll but Silva sticks to his back.
Silva working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Tyson is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Silva has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Tyson taps out!
